    Dear Editor,

We read with interest the recent report by Zhang and colleagues in this Journal,1 who described the continuous evolution and dissemination of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). They analyzed the genomes and found the degree of diversification of 2019-nCoV was much smaller when compared with influenza A viruses. However, the transmission characteristics of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in China were also needed to be considered.

This study evaluated whether and when the infected but asymptomatic cases during the incubation period could infect others. Methods: We collected data on demographic characteristics, exposure history, and symptom onset day of the confirmed cases, which had been announced by the Chinese local authorities. We evaluated the potential of transmission during the incubation period in 50 infection clusters, including 124 cases. All the secondary cases had a history of contact with their first-generation cases prior to symptom onset. *注,本文为预印本论文手稿,是未经同行评审的初步报告,其观点仅供科研同行交流,并不是结论性内容,请使用者谨慎使用.
