The Department of Land, Air and Water Resources (LAWR) was created in 1975 when the Department of Soils & Plant Nutrition and Department of Water Science & Engineering merged with the Department of Agricultural Engineering's Atmospheric Science program. Through interdisciplinary coordination and integration of teaching and research, the department focuses on the solution of complex local, national, and international agricultural and environmental problems.
