IAHS is a constituent body of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). The objectives of the association is to promote the study of Hydrology as an aspect of the earth sciences and of water resources; to provide for discussion, comparison, and publication of research results; and to initiate, facilitate, and coordinate research into, and investigation of, those hydrological problems which require international cooperation.
