The National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) provides worldwide oceanographic data that describe the ocean water column from seafloor to surface. The site offers online data on ocean currents, waves, salinity, temperature, oxygen, nutrients, chlorophyll, plankton, and biota. The World Ocean Atlas and World Ocean Database are available online at this site. Information on ordering data on CD or custom datasets is also provided. NOAA maintains a World Data Center for Oceanography. Links are provided to other ocean data resources on the web.
