The Journal of The American Dietetic Association is the official research publication of The American Dietetic Association. As the premier peer-reviewed journal in the field of dietetics and nutrition, the Journal's purpose is to:
provide a distinguished site for the publication of original articles prepared by scholars and practitioners in the field and reviewed by qualified peers.
publish manuscripts that advance knowledge across the range of research and practice issues in nutrition and dietetics and that support the professional growth of Association members.
The Journal's editor-in-chief is Linda Van Horn, PhD, RD, professor of Preventive Medicine and a research dietician at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, in Chicago, IL. Under her expert direction, manuscripts are sent out for anonymous peer review and are judged on the basis of content, originality, scientific accuracy, clarity, and contribution to the field of dietetics.
The Journal invites contributions of original research, review, and application in such areas as nutritional science, medical nutrition therapy, public health nutrition, food science and biotechnology, foodservice systems, leadership and management, and dietetics education.
