LarvalBase is a database module of FishBase containing information on fish larvae relevant to fisheries research and finfish aquaculture from published and gray literature and online sources. Most general tables such as nomenclature, distribution, and reproduction are shared with LarvalBase, contributing additional files on spawning, eggs and their development, larvae, and aquaculture systems. LarvalBase currently offers entries on 2228 species with 4229 images and 4513 references. A gallery of the best pictures is posted. The site also offers a resource on matching water sources to aquaculture projects and a multilingual glossary.
