    Abstract

    BACKGROUND:

    Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus -2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has been widely spread. We aim to investigate the clinical characteristic and allergy status of patients infected by SARS-CoV-2.

We aimed to clarify the differences of clinical, laboratory, radiological, and outcome characteristics between SARS-CoV-2 infective pneumonia (Corona Virus Disease 2019, COVID-19) patients with diarrhea and those without. Methods: In this retrospective, single-center study, we included 84 confirmed patients of SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia in Wuhan Union Hospital from Jan 19 to Feb 7. Patients were confirmed by Real-Time Reverse-Transcriptase–Polymerase-Chain-Reaction Testing in pharyngeal swab. The clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations, imaging manifestations and outcomes of patients with diarrhea and those without diarrhea were compared.
