Department of Soil, Water, and Climate is recognized as one of the premier departments around the country in soil and environmental sciences. The internationally prominent faculty are supported by excellent research facilities and contribute significantly to the scientific literature on soil and water resources sciences and climatology. Its goal is to develop and disseminate knowledge on the physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes taking place in the natural environment, and to apply this knowledge base to fulfill the potential of soil and water resources for producing food to sustain life, to preserve the quality of the environment, and to solve environmental problems.
