  • The States and EPA have established eight work groups to focus on nonpoint source topic-specific needs, including: watershed planning and implementation; rural nonpoint sources; urban nonpoint sources; nonpoint source grants management; nonpoint source capacity building and funding; information transfer and outreach; nonpoint source results; and nonpoint source monitoring.     • The EPA Wetlands web site offers the text of laws, regulations, and court decisions that govern wetland protection, as well as provides online access to permitting processes. Scientific information is also available on wetlands identification, bioassessment, water quality monitoring, wetland restoration, and constructed wetlands. Visitors can also find descriptions of programs oriented to state, tribal, and local authorities or to organizations and volunteers. Public education materials are provided on wetland definitions, ecological and social functions, and wetland protection laws and regulations.
