University College Cork is very aware of the huge public interest in all matters to do with ‘Food’ and has therefore, established a Food Communications Information Service (FCIS) to liaise with ‘Food’ interest groups including consumer groups, regulatory agencies, the food industry and the media.
FCIS provides information on a wide range of food topics including: Diet and Health, Food Safety, Novel Food,Developments, Food Law.
FCIS uses a specific web site and a newsletter to disseminate information. FCIS Newsletter, published quarterly; FCIS web site, www.ucc.ie/fcis.The Food Communications Information Service (FCIS) was established in 1998 within the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, University College Cork, Ireland and is supported by the UCC/Food Industry Partnership Board.
