The Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS) at Florida State University, sponsored by NASA, NOAA, the National Science Foundation, and the Office of Naval Research, conducts research in "air-sea interaction, ocean, and coupled air-sea modeling, climate prediction on scales of months to decades, statistical studies and predictions of social/economic consequences of the ocean-atmospheric variations." The COAPS web site offers information on Center staff, research, publications, and data centers and products. The site also features numerous animations that illustrate various datasets and climatologic events.
