The National Sea Grant Library (NSGL) is the most comprehensive collection of Sea Grant funded research, and includes more than 30,000 titles. Many may be borrowed worldwide by completing an online order request. The NSGL also provides a database of bibliographic citations with abstracts and full text where available for 40,000 articles, reports, maps, directories, programs, CD-ROMS, audio-visual resources, educational resources, and journal literature produced by Sea Grant funded researchers. Some of the subjects covered are oceanography, marine and freshwater biology, aquaculture, fisheries, limnology, coastal zone management, and marine law. Topical libraries of digital documents on HACCP, global warming, coastal hazards, harmful algae, diving safety, environmentally friendly aquaculture, as well as marine education and careers are also available. An 'Ask a Librarian' function is provided along with archived questions and answers.
