Advances in Earth Science started publication in 1986, a synthetic, academic journal co-sponsored by the Department of Earth Sciences of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Bureau of Science and Technology for Resources and Environment under National Natural Science, and National Science Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou Branch.
